Colchester United have further added to their squad today with the signing of Brennan Dickenson from Gillingham.

The attacking wide man has signed a two-year deal with the U's.

Dickenson started his career at Brighton and Hove Albion and had loan spells at Chesterfield, AFC Wimbledon and Northampton Town, before leaving the Seagulls to join Gillingham in 2014, on a free transfer.

The 23-year-old made 38 league starts for the Gills, scoring twice but has now made the switch to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Dickenson joins Luke Prosser and Denny Johnstone in linking up with the senior U's squad this summer, with Courtney Senior, Ben Wyatt and Dexter Peter joining the development squad.
