LITTLE THURROCK 2 COLCHESTER TOWN 0
There was a surprise defeat for the Town Ladies as they travelled to the south of Essex for a County Cup match.
With their regular keeper unavailable, Rosi Webb took over in goal, and things on the day did not go too well for them.
The hosts took the lead after Oyinda Okunowo was tackled and from a through ball, the chance was put away after 20 minutes.
It got worse just before half-time, when the home lead was increased to 2-0, as Thurrock netted after a free-kick.
The lead was maintained despite Colchester creating several chances. Although the visitors dominated for long spells in the game, they just could not break through.
Home chances were minimal, but they had made the most of the ones that came to them.
Several one on ones had been set up by Town, but they failed to take any of these.
