Karl Duguid has left his coaching role at Colchester United - and is considering reviving his playing career.
The U's legend has quit his position as the club's joint under-18 coach and has had offers from local non-league clubs to return to playing.
Duguid, 36, retired at the end of last season after a hugely successful playing career which saw him make more than 400 appearances for Colchester during his two separate spells with the club.
He started the season working as first-team coach alongside Joe Dunne.
But following Dunne's departure and Tony Humes' appointment as boss, Duguid moved into a role coaching the U's under-18s alongside Wayne Brown and has now left the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
