A NEW Panto production of Sleeping Beauty has opened to the public at the Mercury Theatre.
Director Ryan McBryde, the Mercury's artistic director, has chosen to use Guy Unsworth's funny adaptation of the famous fairytale for this festive season's offering.
While the Mercury Theatre's award winning duo - Dale Superville and Antony Stuart-Hick - will be executing their vision.
The play which takes place "once upon a time in Colchesteria" has shows until January, 14 and is around two and half hours.
Adult performances, which are known for "being a little more risqué", will be available only in January.
This show will contain flashing lights and loud music.
However, two alternative performances on Thursday Dec, 7 at 10.15am and Sat Jan, 6 at 2pm are available.
