Fire services were called to a pub fire in Halstead High Street last night.
Two appliances from Halstead were mobilised to a fire at the White Hart.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus quicly located and extinguished the fire in a room on the first floor.
The first floor of the pub was heavily smoke logged.
The fire is thought to have started by a faulty battery in a laptop.
The pub is open as usual.
