A BRAZEN burglar broke into the home of an elderly man while the owner was asleep in the living room.
The man got into the house, in Chitts Hill, Colchester, at 2pm on Thursday.
He entered through an open window.
The victim was asleep in the living room and woke up to see the burglar climbing out the window.
Minutes later the same man returned, climbing through the same window before moving around the property and then leaving.
Detectives say nothing appears to have been taken but property had been moved and drawers opened.
The burglar is described as white, aged in his early 20s, of slim build, and wearing blue overalls.
