A SINGER from Colchester has wowed the judges on top TV talent show the XFactor to make the next round.

Luis Elkes, 26, a sales assistant, appeared on Saturday night’s auditions programme.

Luis, who works in Topshop in Selfridges, performed the Pussycat Dolls’ When I Grow Up complete with his own dance moves.

Judge Nicole Scherzinger, who was lead singer in the band, praised Luis’ performance saying “I love you Luis.”

Fellow judge Louis Walsh said: “I think it was really good. The dancing was great, your commitment was great. I liked it.”

Sharon Osborne also described Luis as a “great dancer”.

But Simon Cowell wasn’t impressed saying no to the performer progressing in the completion.

But three yeses from Nicole, Sharon and Louis means the Colchester crooner is into the next round.

Viewers took to Twitter to voice their opinions on Luis.

@ThomasLJTweets said: “Catching up on tonight's #XFactor and @luiselkes just popped some moves. Yes Luis!”
