DAYLIGHT raiders stole sentimental jewellery from a home in Colchester.

A number of items of jewellery were stolen, including a gold fob watch bracelet that originally belonged to the victim's grandfather.

The watch has a heavy gold chain with a fob attached to it.

One side of the fob is dark green with a family crest and a scroll on.

The other side of the fob is dark red with the initials JJM inscribed on it.

Thieves broke into the house in Straight Road by smashing a rear door sometime between 3.45pm and 4.30pm on Tuesday.

Officers would like to speak to two men who were seen in the area between noon and 12.30pm.

Both men are white, aged between 22 and 26, with slight builds.

The first was around 5ft 7" tall with brown hair that is short on the sides and longer on top.

He was wearing a black puffa style jacket and blue jeans.

He has tattoos on both arms and one of the back of his neck.

The second man is around 5ft 5" tall with short brown hair.

He was wearing blue jeans and has a sleeve tattoo on his arm.
